MAVIN FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES THREE PRIORITIES FOR FUTURE PROGRAMMING
(Seattle) A major outcome of the MAVIN Foundation's
two year organizational assessment and strategic planning process was
identifying the areas where future programming will concentrate. Today,
they were announced as Health, Education
and Policy.
Matt Kelley, MAVIN Foundation's founder and president described the
importance of the more focused approach to future programming. "MAVIN
was started as a magazine, but
quickly expanded into a diverse array of health, education, youth leadership
and community building projects. As we looked around to see the growing
needs of the mixed heritage community, the Board and staff felt we should
focus our efforts on a limited number of areas where we can have the
greatest impact."
Over the next several weeks, MAVIN Foundation will issue additional
press releases to unveil details about MAVIN's next generation of exciting
new initiatives to serve mixed heritage people and families across the
nation!
MAVIN Foundation builds healthy communities that celebrate and empower
mixed heritage people and families. Since 1998, MAVIN has invested over
$2.5 million into innovative and award-winning projects
focused on mixed heritage people, transracial adoptees, and multiracial
families. For more information, visit www.mavinfoundation.org.
