MAVIN Foundation Gala
The annual Gala is MAVIN Foundation's single-most important fundraiser of the year. Over the past two years, the Gala has raised over $100,000 for MAVIN Foundation programs.

This year's Gala happened on Saturday, October 8th at McCaw Hall at Seattle Center. more info here>




MAVIN Mixers
Starting this year, MAVIN Foundation is hosting evening "mixers" at local restaurants and bars. Along with good food, entertainment and fun people, we hope that these fundraising events will create a sense of community among mixed heritage people and families.

The Colors of Love: A celebration of interracial and intercultural relationships
Before the 1967 Supreme Court case Loving v. Virginia, interracial marriage was illegal in 16 states. Dozens of couples joined MAVIN on February 10th for a romantic and festive evening celebrating love across racial and cultural lines. The event took place in the Chinese Room atop the Smith Tower, featuring sweeping views, desserts, apertifs, wine and inspiring stories from local couples with special remarks by Dr. Maria P. P. Root.



Music Meets Aloha
On November 18, 2004, MAVIN was the beneficiary of the first annual Music Meets Aloha concert at the Waikiki Shell in beautiful Honolulu, Hawai'i.

8/16/2005 > MAVIN's 2nd annual Mixed Heritage Student Leadership Retreat kicks off in the Lodge at beautiful Mt. Rainier. Twenty students engage in four days of workshops exploring the mixed heritage experience. Special thanks to retreat partner, Level Playing Field Institute.
8/16/2005 > Join MAVIN for a special event celebrating the Seattle Art Museum's new "Isamu Noguchi: Sculptural Design" exhibit. 5:30-9:00 pm on Tues., August 16 at Seattle Art Museum Downtown. This event includes a reception, main program, private exhibition viewing and refreshments.
