On February 10, 2005, MAVIN Foundation celebrated interracial and intercultural couples with its first annual, "The Colors f Love" event and fundraiser. The evening featured special introductory remarks by reknown psychologist Dr. Maria P. P. Root and two local couples, Jerry and Sherry Bigelow and Kevin and Esther Pineiro-Hall.
